APLAC, the Research Center for Asia-Pacific Languages and Cultures at the National University of Kaohsiung, in conjunction with Kaohsiung Fengshan Community College and the civil rights movement Tainan above the Ground - Nanshan Cemetery, are pleased to announce the 7th DRGPA conference and workshops scheduled for November 14–16, 2025.
This will be a bilingual event, with presentations given in both English and Chinese.
We invite submissions of papers and presentations on topics related to gravesites in Pacific Asia, including, but not limited to: gravesite and mortuary studies in Pacific Asia; burial grounds and tombs as heritage resources; land management of cemeteries; burial ground marginalization and development issues; ritual and liminal practices associated with gravesites; diaspora practices and gravesites abroad.
